Contest Rules

Before any promotion opens

Each contest or sweepstakes will have its own official rules linked from its announcement. Those rules must identify the legal sponsor and contact details, eligible locations and ages, entry dates and time zone, entry method and limits, prizes and approximate values, winner selection or judging criteria, notification and claim deadlines, taxes, disqualification conditions and relevant privacy information.

For a chance-based sweepstakes, the rules will explain the free entry method and state that no purchase is necessary and a purchase will not improve the chance of winning. Skill contests will explain how entries are scored and how ties are resolved. Eligibility restrictions and any required registrations will be checked for the jurisdictions included before launch. This page is not a substitute for those event-specific rules.

Fair participation

Future rules will address automated or fraudulent entries, impersonation, duplicate entries, rights in submitted material and lawful cancellation or modification procedures. Any permission to use a submission or a winner’s name must be stated in the relevant rules, with choices and limits required by law. Joining a promotion will not silently subscribe someone to marketing.

Verify an announcement

Only promotions linked from this website’s News or official Community destinations should be treated as studio announcements. Do not send passwords or pay a fee to claim an alleged prize. Ask support@declaredmissing.gg if you are unsure about an offer using our name.
